Fraction Pizza

It has been another eventful week! We had Art for Youth, a nutrition program, an Irish dance performance, and a mystery reader. Due to our busy schedule, the chapter 6 math test has been postponed until this Tuesday (March 18).

We made fraction pizzas in math this week.

Here is a photo of our poetry bulletin board. The students voted on how to present their poems, this was a group effort. It turned out great!

Aneliese's father, Mr. Kennedy, was our mystery reader!

Spring is Coming!

Hello Everyone!

It is amazing to think that we are starting our final trimester of the school year! Here are a few updates:

The students will no longer need to complete a weekly reading log. I would still like them to read for 30 minutes each night. We will still be doing weekly daily geography assignments.

We are starting our new social studies chapter about Wisconsin and the Civil War.

In math, we are continuing with fractions. The chapter 6 final test will be held this Thursday, March 14th. There is no school for students on Friday.

The fourth graders have been reading books in small groups. All of the books have been made into movies. In honor of the recent Oscars, the students will be watching the movie for their book this Thursday. They will compare and contrast the two. A letter will be sent home this week with more information.

Report cards and WKCE results will be sent home in this week's Thursday folder.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Think warm thoughts!
