Updates

Hello Everyone,

Our class will be swimming in Phy. Ed. next week 1/21-1/24, so please remember to send swimming suits to school. Also, there is no school on Monday, January 20th.

There is no homework this weekend except to read for 25 minutes. Some students may also want to go over past homework assignments from chapter 4 and make corrections to the multi-step word problems that were incorrect. This would be good practice for the upcoming chapter 4 test on Tuesday, January 28th. The word problems in this chapter are very complex, and take a lot of thought. Good strategies to use for these are:


1. Read the problem once, read it again, and underline important information.
2. Read the question at the end of the problem... what are they asking you to find out?
3. Decide whether you need to multiply, divide, add, subtract, and in what order.
4. Reread the problem and make sure that your answer makes sense.
