Science Experiments

The kids are excited about our switch to science from social studies. The new unit is all about oceans. They learned about salinity and density this week in class. We did two separate experiments together. One of the experiments was testing if an egg would sink or float in fresh water and/or in salt water. The other experiment was to figure out how to layer colored liquids by changing the amount of salt in different cups to alter the density of the water. The kids used the scientific method to conduct both experiments.
